Villa Providenca is located in a small village called Debeljak, close to Sukosan, just a short drive away from the city of Zadar. Zadar is an ancient city with historical and cultural heritage worth seeing. Famous Alfred Hitchcock said that Zadar has the most beautiful sunset in the world – do not miss it!
The old town provides monuments of the ancient, medieval and Renaissance times: Romans square (1st century), church of St. Donat (9th century), church of St. Marija (11th century, rebuilt in 16th century), cathedral of St. Stošija (12th-13th century), the parts of defences walls… Nowadays it is famous for the symphony of the Sea Organ and the light installation “Pozdrav Suncu” (Greeting the Sun). In Zadar, you will find beaches, historic architecture and restaurants with Mediterranean cuisine. National and nature parks (Krka Waterfalls, Kornati Islands, Plitvice Lakes, Telašćica, Paklenica…) are also close.
If you are looking for more fun from sunset until dawn- in Zadar are beach clubs, coffee bars and after midnight you can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of night bars and clubs. During your stay in Zadar do not forget to taste the sweet Maraschino cherry liquor!
